About this project

I was inspired by TheyRule to bring more transparency to Columbus politics.

This map follows the people, organizations, money and public decisions that shape Columbus. It starts with a few connections and grows as you explore. Each connection opens the records and sources behind it.

About the records

Status

Evidence labels describe the statement behind each connection: a finding, allegation, participant account or documented record. Its source and qualifications appear in the details.

Money & authority

Arrows show the recorded direction. Amounts identify payments, funding, spending ceilings, asset values or penalties. Each amount belongs to its own recipient and period.

Sources

Source links lead to the cited documents, with page or paragraph references where recorded. Source information includes the research method and check date.

Coverage

State and federal politics, campaign money, contracts, lobbying, HB 6, Wexner–Epstein, Redflex, and selected affiliations. Authorizations are distinct from payments. Node size counts dataset links; placement is for readability.
